El-Khoury: War Concerto for Daniel Hope
Complicity and artistic companionship between Bechara El-Khoury and Daniel Hope had already led to the creation of a short (7 minute) but beautiful work: Unfinished Journey for violin and orchestra. Actually, it was an introduction for a more extensive and committed work: the War Concerto which was commissioned by the Mecklembourg-Vorpommern Festival and will be premiered next June. Bechara El-Khoury is back in Parade to talk about his special relationship with the great violinist, and how he inspires him.
